For scope 1, yes, if you generate your own electricity for your IT infrastructure, you can cover scope 1. For scope 2, yes, for your datacenters we take into account your carbon energy factor and PuE. For scope 3, when you purchase public cloud resources we provide the scope 1 and 2 of the cloud provider.
When you connect OxygenIT to your public cloud provider or your on-premise infrastructure for the first time, it takes a few minutes to get the entirety of your carbon emissions from the provider and your infrastructure, the time depends on the number of servers and the capacity of your infrastructure. Once connected, metrics are always available immediately.
Yes, we use only HTTPS and you can request an “in-house” version that you can host if you want more security.
Yes, our technical support is available Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm CET, holidays excluded, via the online chat directly in the console.
We use a scientific methodology that is state of the art, for operational carbon we start with calculating energy consumption, then we use the PuE and the carbon emission factor as described by the Green Software Foundation to calculate the carbon emissions.
Yes, the solution OxygenIT provides a list of recommended optimisation actions to be taken based on your activity and your infrastructure. We are continually enriching our recommendations. See “Hotspots” in the console.
No, Oxygen's scope encompasses data centers, public and private clouds, but excludes laptops, PCs and mobile devices. Our emphasis is on the infrastructure that supports application and product operations.
